The office in Abidjan does not seem to process a huge volume of applications and is currently the fastest visa office in the Africa / Middle East region, averaging processing times for spousal immigration of 3 to 8 month.

The office in Abu Dhabi is responsible for almost all countries on the Arabian peninsula. The mission has expanded rapidly in the last few years and does not seems to be able to keep up with the pace, giving it a ranking in the bottom third of all missions.

ACCRA, GHANA

The mission in Accra is responsible for 12 countries. Amongst others, for Ghana, Liberia and Nigeria and officers have to travel a lot. Even though the mission seems to have enough immigration staff, it is notoriously slow in every aspect and mail correspondence, sent via regular mail, add easily a few month to the already extremely long process. It is ranked second last and only Nairobi is slower in processing applications.

ANKARA, TURKEY

The office in Ankara only processes applications from Azerbaijan, Georgia, Turkey and Turkmenistan. Even though it has quite a small CIC staff it manages to be the third fastest visa office in Europe.

The visa office in Beijing is CIC's largest mission outside of Canada. It is well staffed and is currently (last data from 2009) with Taipee the fastest office when it comes to processing times, averaging 3 to 5 month for spousal applications.

BERLIN, GERMANY

The CIC mission in Germany is understaffed, even though the mission only handles applications from The Netherlands and Germany. It is together with Kiev the slowest office in Europe and even though it has quite strongly improved over it's 2008 ranking, it still ranks in the bottom third of all CIC offices worldwide .

BOGOTA, COLOMBIA

(CIC region: Europe)

The mission in Bogota is a medium sized mission and serves only Colombia and Ecuador. Bogota is a relatively slow mission for processing, which might have to do with security issues in Colombia itself as well as with more extensive background checks for applicants. The CIC mission in Bogota ranks in the bottom third of all missions and is the slowest one in South-America.
